Gay Bar Logo Design / Fall 2023
Energy Gay Bar is an imagined nightlife experience catered to LGBTQ+ individuals. The brief required a lettermark to be used at the forefront of the design along with typography and color to create a logomark for an imaginary small business. I wanted the colors to be bold, similar to nightlife atmosphere, while still tying in the allusion of lightning with a bright yellow and wine with a deep red. The typeface I chose for the business name is a clean sans-serif, pairing with the intricacies of the logomark.

Logo Design

I paired the “e” lettermark with a lightning bolt, alluding to the energy of a gay nightlife experience, thus giving light to the name. When pieced together, the parts of the logo form the image of a glass of wine indicative of an alcoholic beverage patrons consume at a bar.
